headed out boat camping for 4 days and would have to say it was one of the better ones we have had in about 20 years of camping up there. weather was perfect , no bugs and very few people. The only people we interacted with for 4days were two park wardens that came to visit to check our permit and to give us the talk about bears unattended camp fires and various park rules. They seemed happy with our compliance to the rules and the cleanliness of our site so off they went. The other encounter was with two kayakers who came close by our site thinking my black bouvier dog was a bear lol.The only thing that could have been better was the fishing 2 lakers and a couple bass could be the worst we have ever done. Marked a lot but the bite was off. We decided to start calling these trips camping instead of fishing lol.Got a great site perfect for bigger boats with a beach within walking distance .

Awesome pictures! Its never long enough staying there is it? Looks like you had to get a different site this time eh? Still a good one. Too bad about the tough fishing, I hope to be heading up there next weekend if I get a couple parts in for the old outboard. Great report 👍🏽

yes you are right had to get a different site the old one was taken .the one we got is great for my big boat all the sites on the big island were taken .lots of fish straight out from the old site couldnt get any to commit.have to blame it on something east wind lol. hope you get the outboard fixed left them all for you lol good luck Dan

Outstanding pictures, just beautiful. My friend had a bouvier and his name was actually Bear. But with their Southfield Michigan accent, it sounded like they were saying beer everytime they called the dog.

my dog has been mistaken for a bear more than once ,we walk every day in the bush across from my house , couple older ladies wouldnt go because of a bear sighting till i explained it was Hank the bouvier . wouldnt it be great if you called bear and he brought a beer
