Replaced my vibrato and spoon hooks with higher quality Owner hooks, I could feel how much sharper they were than the old stock hooks that have been attached since purchase 2-3 years ago. Went back to the lake I was loosing all those fish on and reversed my catch ratio. Only lost one. Most of those suspended fish were Herrings mixed with the odd laker. Was out from 12:30-4pm. Lake was nice and calm, fish all over the place on the graph. Managed 3 lake trout and 8 herring. Couple herring around 2lbs, most were 16”. LakE trout were 15-18”. All fish released promptly. Couldn’t find the elusive whitefish on this lake today. Surface temps said 20c if correct. It was a nice relaxing afternoon. Only a couple wake boats to contend with.

It's a rarity I'll leave a stock hook on anything (besides muskie lures)

Any comments on the quality of Owner hooks? As good as Gammys? Gammys are more expensive and sometimes hard to find Thx

I use a file on my jig hooks, find it makes a big difference.

The owners seem nice out of package, agree that a file will help prolong their life, I feel they are pretty close to the stock vibrato hook, but with maybe 1-2mm longer shaft, and much sharper. Test of time will tell if they stand up.
