We made a last minute decision last night to go to Meaford today.

Should have stayed home.

When we got to the parking lot at Meaford at 7:30am, there was no one else there. That wasn't a good sign. Solunar Table said today was a "poor" day. Another bad sign.

While the wind had dropped from Wednesday, there were still 2 foot swells out there to bounce us around.

Trolled from 30fow to 150fow. Used spoons and body baits. Short leads, long leads.

Didn't mark many fish and any we did were in less than 100fow.

Never moved a rod and we quit a Noon.

I looked back at my fishing log book and this time of year, I have never done very well on GB.

Oh well, better to be out there trying than staying home and cutting the lawn. I'll do it tomorrow.

Too bad about not catching any fish. But you are right, at least you got out there. You will have better luck next time.

Wait till Oct and go fish steelhead off the planner boards while they stage. Fun pattern to fish.

Don't have planner boards, but I have had good luck in Oct. with long leads and running the lures shallow.

Weather and everything else permitting, we shall be out there.

Glad you got out SDC. Sorry the fish didn't cooperate for you. Any advancements with getting into Collingwood again?
