must have been a total blast. I have lots of fun taking grandkids to catch little kiddie sized fish. Hard to imagine catching that size!

Hey Kev - that's awesome to hear - I am local down here near Lighthouse - I know that pier very well my PB 50.5 inch musky came close to that pier in my boat.

If you want, shoot me a PM before you come down and I can give you what insight I have on what baits/colours are hot this year (it's always different) beyond the tried and tested good colours like fire tiger bulldawgs or white sebiles.

I am off all next week for my birthday so I will be on the water a lot before you make your trip down and I have no issues helping a fellow angler who comes down hook into some beasts.

After all, we're all after that elusive 50 + incher until we get one. Some are already being caught in the river - a buddy of mine and I had our first trip Saturday - we went 0/1. lol

Hopefully you and your boy have a safe trip down.

Maybe I can even pop out and say hey while you guys are fishing the pier.

I also know some locals who have bigger boats who might be interested in bringing you aboard for some trolling for the right price.......could potentially land a bunch that way as they can troll 2 rods per license in the lake (not the river). But THOSE guys really have it dialed in and you can learn A TON in a short amount of time def worth the $.

If not still willing to help how I can

Cheers, and tight lines!
