Thank you East End 19-21' Mainly shiners, but also some on fin-s minnows and a Rapala jigging rap I am trying to do away with live minnows, but have to admit they do beat plastics hands-down, so it might take me a while to make the transition. They didn't seem to be in huge schools yet, but found them on all their usual hangouts at this time of the year.

We usually do them either deep fried (with batter) or the healthier stew option depending on how much fried food i already eat that week. The way we stew the fillets is by laying them down in the pan then add some onions cut in rings, tomatoes cut in rounds, banana peppers cut in rings, some garlic, some olive oil, touch of salt and black pepper, some lemon juice and little water. Cook them and garnish with some Italian parsley before serving. I'll share some photos when we cook this batch.

Awesome!! I’m hoping to try my luck out of Pefferlaw today and this weekend. Hoping I can find somewhere to buy minnows! Great fishing!

I'll probably try perch one more time, mid to late October, and then concentrate on the streams for trout until ice fishing time.

Well done.. Nice haul.. Thanks for the report. Artificials that worked for me are 1.5 inch tubes white or chartreuse on 1/16 oz jig.. use splitshots a foot up to get it close to bottom.. Good luck.. PS the recipe description is better than the fishing report.. lol.. yum!!!!
