No school for your kid because there is a PA day.
You take a day off and planning a fishing trip with kids.
Looks like even the weather is not bad, but a bit windy.
Finally you arrive at the only launch on your small lake and see this beauty...

No boats or people show up 15min later.

WTF you think...

If they left the car 1m to any side it would be easy to launch...

Fortunately I was able to squeeze my small boat on the left , but wanted to call 911.

So much respect from people around us these days...

WOW. Well at least you were nice about it and got your boat in the lake. I have some friends that would have moved that truck out of the way. LOL.

I think that with keeping the trailer bearings submerged for a long period of time like that, this person may get their own form of payback next spring.

I would have called local authority to tow it away. Or, you know, tire valves are pretty easy to snip. Especially if I had driven any distance to get there.

I say that, but I’m probably too nice to actually do anything haha. Blessed to live where I do I can just drive 5min to the next lake. Any fish?

I can believe how ignorant and self-centred some people are.

At the least I would have left a note for the explaining how a public boat launch works.

i think I would have called the police. Why you block out the license number I'd be posting that so maybe others will see him some day that aren't so nice.

I guess to give another chance to learn the subject. If someone from LSO sees a similar truck doing this again we can confirm the number and be less nice.

Nothing big, but had some action to keep my 7 years old interested in fishing.
Kept 10, biggest crappie were 9.5". Released a similar number of rock bass and smaller sunfish and crappie.

That will be a nice meal RM. I can't believe this amazing weather that is going to be around for quite a few days. BUT we will see if the warm up brings the fish up. Next few days on Balsam and Sturgeon during the day the fishing should be great. The bass should be high enough in the water that you can just reach out of the boat and pick them up with your hands. LOL. The walleye will be deeper but very aggressive. The big crappie will be sitting this one out until dark, and it will be hard to find them. I know this is the Northern Lakes Forum, but you fish the Kawarthas as well. Good luck and stay safe.

There was another trailer parked, but when heading out I saw a boat coming back and decided to ask. It was trying to steer away from us so I made a pretty clear turn in their direction. It was a young couple around 30 years old, they slowed down, but did not stop. The man admitted it was their car and looked guilty. I was only able to say it is a very rude thing to do.
