Very nice pike.
So far I have only ice fished for perch on that couch lake. Perhaps I should kayak fish the lake for say pike, just for the fun, if I can find a good kayak launch spot, that is:-)

Thank you Sir. Yes, Tudhope Park might be good to launch my kayak. That's where I parked and "launched" when I ice fished the lake

Thank you , James . There was a guy fishing in a kayak Saturday there . You can launch at Tudhope park or from the launch in the marina (Centennial drive ), it’s free. Please be mindful of the wind as the water is only 10C now. Good luck if you go and stay safe .

Could not miss the great weather yesterday and went out in the pm to lake Couch again.
Met a fellow forum member, reelingmachine, on the ramp, who came fishing with his boat and enjoyed sharing fishing stories and favorite pike lures with him.
The weather was better than Saturday- warm but with occasional moderate W/NW wind which made a good chop on the water.
The pike was on fire and I was able to land around 13-15 with the biggest one being 7.7 lb.
This time I was able to locate some largies hiding in 7-8 FOW in weeds and caught 5 decent ones on a 3" jerkbait running to about 3-4 FOW.
