Hey Folks, here is the first of many ice reports. I'll be doing them every couple of days this week and I'll start with daily reports as December begins.

Thanks, Chazd.

It was a bit of a sour summer for my family and I knowing that we were losing the place we called home for the last 10 years. I went dark for a while. But the show must go on.

My new pad is in town so some parts of life have become easier. Just not the lake part. Lol.

It's going to be a fun season of reports.

Yes thank you Koke for all your hard work preparing these reports. As fellow North Bay residents, my Wife and I really enjoy your reports.

Sorry about your housing situation. I am sure you and your family will bounce back.

Stay safe and have a great ice fishing season.

Thanks again.

Hi Koke

Thanks for your continued efforts keeping the folks on this site updated with the ice conditions.

Your housing situation sucks. Hopefully you can find a way to get back on the lake in the future.

I have been tracking the Lake Nipissing water level and the French River flow since 2012. I log the information found at the web site below on Monday's at noon. This year the peak level that I recorded was on May 9th with the level being 195.828 meters above sea level. As of yesterday the level was 195.177 or a difference of 0.651 meters. That converts to just under 26". That said the peak level this year was lower than all but two of the years I have recorded.

Also the current level is lower than any of the other years I have recorded so it is low for this time of the year. They have slowed down the flow the last couple weeks and the level is tracking to getting closer with other years.

Attached is a PDF showing the level since 2012 I will add another post with the French River flow.

Hope this info helps.

Yeah the housing market sucks. I thought it would be better up there. Here's hoping for the most epic housing market crash ever

They started the winter draw down early this year. Even with the rain in October it was dropping.

Apparently they are working on one of the dams.

@Neil That's awesome that you have been tracking that. That is very useful and interesting info indeed.
