Went out for some fresh air and to see what animals were active today. Came up on this coyote who was so busy hunting for rodents it didn't even notice us. Usually all wild animals see you first or smell you first if you are out for a hike. Everyone should always pay attention to their surroundings because bumping into certain animals can be dangerous. Watch out for tracks and trails of animals and droppings. Carry an air horn or bear spray or both. Respect the animals space and do not approach a wild animal. And like we all have been told since we were born don't feed the animals. I have been very lucky to see so much of the wildlife in Canada. The forest and the waters edge are my favourite places to go hands down. Here is a picture of the coyote looking for its dinner.

And then came the stare. Took one more picture and walked away as to not disturb its hunting. I just love nature can't even begin to describe it in words. Just incredible that's it. Stay safe this winter everyone.

If you’re not out there, you’ll never see it. Nature is amazing.
When I was younger I viewed coyotes from the scope of my gun.
Now mostly with my camera. Don’t get me wrong, I’d be the first to shake your hand on a successful hunt.
I love capturing pictures now.
Haven’t had a ton of luck with the yotes but they do surprise you when you’re out from time to time.

Amazing pictures. Thank you for sharing those. Just makes me want to go back outside. I have only seen young coyote once and I was way too close. Also one young baby moose in Algonquin again way too close. And three baby bears in Aberta again way too close. Surprised I am still here for all the times walking into an amazing sight. Your pictures are just beautiful.

I was sitting in a meeting in our boardroom and looked out the window and a Yote was wandering by between the buildings. That was in the area of Trafalgar rd and the QEW. Din't have my camera with me.

Nice shot of Chevy.

Nice pictures gents!

I was down south for an appointment yesterday and saw 2 coyote in a field beside the 400 and another one on a hill beside the 403 in Mississauga.
