Well, I launched with my buddy in the lower Niagara river. We did the drifts with roe bags looking for salmon for most of the morning. Didn't get anything. So we ran to the lake and tried the Niagara Bar. Tried everything. Only managed one smallie. It was a nice one.

Sunny, and cold! When we launched it was 2C.
I thought it was going to be a great day, but the fish had other ideas. Lol
Cheers!

Ahh Niagara smallies. I love them. Sounds like you had a good day on the water even though the fish were not co-operating.

I'm going to miss our lower Niagara fishing trip this year as we have decided to go back to the Thousand Islands instead for my birthday weekend. We are going to try and chase down some big muskies but always have our spots for pike, perch and bass if we can't find any. Only two weeks left now, I just have to get rid of this stupid cold.

Thanks Fshn Frk. I'm getting lots of rest this weekend so hopefully I can kick it soon. Looks like you have a Legend like we do and yes, we do appreciate the full windshield as well as well as the bimini top with windshield. Makes spring and fall fishing a bit more enjoyable.

Yes I have a Legend, great boat. I wish i had the 18', like you, but it wouldnt fit in the garage. The top is awesome especially when it's raining. Keeps me out fishing when everyone else is on shore,or soaked! Lol
Cheers!

Good to see you getting out again.....lots of fish in the river, but you kow as well as I do that weather and water clarity play a big role in success rates down there.

Absolutely right Shank. I usually have the boat all done by November but with my shortened summer I'm going to go right till the end. Hope to have everything line up down there at least one day before I'm done. Lol
Cheers!

November is one of the better months for the lower.

If you want to hook up for some browns/chromers one day, just lt me know.

There are 7 good drifts that hold them
