> Safe ice for first weekend of Jan 23?

I wonder with the warm temps coming in the next few days, will the ice be safe enough to fish on Jan 6-8?

I planned a trip to go up to the lake (first time here), but I am thinking it might be a no go

Any opinions?

Ya us too. We are booked for that weekend and I am pretty sure we are done for.
What can you do about the weather.

So yeah, I've been moved to March. Not much you can do about the weather. Sucks to miss out on first ice though.

Might be for the best. From my experience fishing is neither good or fun when there is water running around everywhere
