Best Ice Fishing Boots and Gloves, Opinions and reviews wanted

Fellow Hardwater Connoisseurs,

The time to replace my trusty pair of NATS is near. I would love to hear some tales of hardwater triumph and/or failure when it comes to your boot of choice.

I'm sure there are some amazing new products out there since I have shopped last.

Always looking to improve my arsenal of fishing gloves, too. Can't seem to get the absolutely perfect ones yet... There has to be the ideal combination of warmth and dexterity out there somewhere.

Any and all advice welcome.

I can't fish yet anyway, so this will provide a little something until I can.

Hand, toe, foot warmers. Don’t leave home without some packed.

Baffin Titans are the warmest, but suck to trudge around in.

my go to winter boots for ice fishing are Baffin Selkirk. Wouldn't say they are light, but they are warm.

Baffin Eigers for me. Very warm but they are bulky.

I really like my Bassdash Explorers. They are a Muck Boot Arctic Pro clone. They surprised me. Can't go wrong with Baffin Titans except for the weight. Nats are nice and light.

GREAT FOR HEADING OUT THERE AND HANGING AROUND OUT ON THE ICE BUT AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE TO DRIVE IN. LOL

Lmao sooo true! I actually tried to get into my wife’s Corolla with them on and snapped the cruise control lever right off the steering wheel!

Cannot go wrong with Baffin titans. Just don't drive with them. Oftentimes hit brake and accelerator at same time.😡

I HAVE HAD BOTH OF THOSE HAPPEN TO ME.
BROKE THE WHOLE PLASTIC SIDING OFF THE SIDE OF MY TRUCK FROM THE BOOTS AND HAVE MANY TIMES HIT THE BRAKE & GAS AT THE SAME TIME.

I've been trying to crack this nut for many years as I'm sure many of you have.

I've tried several different boots...fan of baffin products for sure. It's difficult finding something light if you are trekking on foot that will keep you warm once you stop moving.

I'm finding my problem is not can the boot keep my feet warm but how to keep it from over insulating and making them sweat. It's moisture management that's the real problem.

I agree that the safest thing no matter what is to always carry toe warmers. I always change my socks before I put on boots and even let my feet cool off for 30 secs in the air before I put my socks on. This has really helped.

This year I'm experimenting with lighter merino wool socks and slightly over sized boot for moisture wicking and air circulation.

I've used a very light Columbia Bugaboot for the last couple of season but they only have 200g of insulation and ultimately end up putting in the warmers...no problems what so ever after. This year I've upgraded to the same boot but with 600g of insulation instead. Still a very light and waterproof boot.

All of the comments are appreciated, thank you. I got a chuckle out of the driving comments... been there, too.

Not sure what is more of a challenge...driving with big winter boots + bibs on or scrambling to get out of them when natural calls!

Doing a bit of research on the Baffin Impact boot that seems interesting.

If I stray from the NATS I'll post an update on my findings.

My choice of boots is GSK Expedition.......definitely the lightest boots and warmest I have had. They look bulky but they are not too bad in the cumbersome department. I would buy another pair for sure.
