Hey everyone,
In the market for a unit. Before I dive in, hoping to hear from those who have mapping for Temagami (if it exists) such as Lake Master, Navionics, etc.
How’s it seem to work for you? Who seems to be the most detailed? Do you find it to be accurate?
Already have Navionics on my phone, but seems in accurate at times, so I’m skeptical of a Unit with Navionics.

You cannot compare a phone app to the full chip for Navionics. Navionics has decent coverage of Temagami. But if you get a newer unit that lets you build your own map you can increase the detail in the area's you actually fish.

Yeah the Navionics phone app can be spotty. I've used it on the Muskoka lakes (Joseph, Rousseau, etc.) to great effect, with sight margin of error. It does a great job to get you in the general area, which is better than nothing.
I did try using it up on Temagami back in Jan 2019 and it wasn't very useful. The local guy we fished with did a much better job knowing what was underneath us! The depths tended to be way off. So ya you're better off going with other options up there.

Yeah he grew up there so he knows the lake well. We were trying it out and the app said it was supposed to be deep in a particular spot and he was like "no, it's only like 20 feet". We drilled and then dropped the fish finder in and sure enough he was right!

I have a cottage on the lake and have navionics is at best just a general guide. Definitely can't use it boating as a trusted source as the shoals on Temagami will find your prop in a hurry.
I just went to a Humminbird (trying it out this weekend for first time) as the auto chart and zerolines card are where I plan to build my mapping from moving forward. May take a while but I think it will be by far the most accurate way of knowing whats below.
I have been told by someone who knows the lake better than most that Lakemaster is not as good as even the Navioics route.
