Hey everyone,

I have recently booked with Chilly Willys for the Jan 13th weekend. I have stayed with them in the past and understand it is under new ownership. We left because of the old owner...Any updates on how it is under new ownership? We usually move around outfitters every couple of years.

Thank you in advance.

Hurry up ice......

I stayed with them last year, I have nothing but good to say about the operation, the huts were very clean and and well equipped, hut location was excellent and we were on the fish all week, they came out 3 times a day to check on us and see if we needed bait or anything else and even offered to move us if we weren't catching anything. Before leaving we booked our trip for this year, Jan 9th to the 12th. I've stayed with many different outfits on Nippising and really have nothing to complain about with any of the operators, but Chilly Willy has been the best so far.

Thank you so much for your feedback. This is awesome to hear that it has done a complete 180 from the previous owner...We are so pumped to stay this year and be on some fish.

Much appreciated.

You're welcome, let's start praying 🙏 for the cold now, this is ridiculous for November to be in the 20s still.

No need to worry you will be in good hands with Chilly Willy. Although we have not stayed there yet I was very impressed with them last year as they provided our transportation to Sandy Bay's huts and got to know them pretty well. Great family run business now and he keeps all his bungalows and equipment in top shape and works on his units in the off season not pull them off and forget about them till next season. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their operation. We booked with them end of January. Looking forward to it. Probably be doing the same thing as ChazD and re-book for the following year.

I also booked with Sandy Bay for next season and am looking forward to going out with Chilly. Willy. How did they take you out to the huts?

They took us out in an enclosed sled towed behind either a snowmobile or snow machine of some sort. They say the mind is the first to go. Sorry I can't rember more details. It was first ice before the bungaloes were ready for clients so probably the snowmobile.

No ice along South shore as of yet. Water level looks to be at record low level as well.

We have been going to Chilly Willy’s since 2015.
The new owners - Keith and Nikki are amazing.
I can’t say enough good things about them and how they run the business.
Their huts are great!!

Our group has been to Anglers Haven for years. The huts are decent and the operators are fantastic. I would recommend bringing a power bar as the huts only have 1 outlet. The fishing has been slow the last few years so we're trying a different operator.

Good luck!

Went with Chilly Willy's 6 years ago, was the best fishing i've ever had on Nip. Key was to use his holes he drills all around the island. Hole hop until ya find em.
