Curious to know if a loon has ever accidentally attacked a fishing lure and been hooked? Anyone know? Always wondered if it ever happened as I watch loons not far from where I fish at times in Ontario.

Yes loons and seagulls chase lures. I have caught a seagull, and my friends have caught a loon and a seagull.

To the original poster - very cool video. I also watched the loon one, it’s amazing you could capture that much of them hunting underwater!
