Hi everyone,

Tried to search to no avail.

We are heading from Toronto up to the Mactier area early tomorrow morning and are hoping to get some legal minnows(Zone 15).

Does anyone know of any shops that are open a long the way on the 400?

The only shop that I was able to find was "Bait Tackle & More" but that is quite out of the way.

thanks in advance,
Xander

Unfortunately you are limited to Glen orchard or you have to continue north to Parry Sound. Im not sure what Bill is charging this year...I believe he was $10 + tax a dozen last year

Won't help the OP but I was around Parry Sound this weekend and got bait at Divers Nook in town. Had a pretty hot bite Saturday and ran out of bait for Sunday. Faced with waiting until Divers Nook opened at 7am I did some googling and found Shebe Baits by Shebeshekong Lake. Guy runs the shop out of his garage and was open until 8pm. $10 for a very generous dozen shiners. Pretty well equipped for a small shop. If you're in need of bait in the area - check him out. He's about 5 minutes off the 400.

I ended up going Bait Tackle & more and Bill was a gem. The minnows were great and he was able to give us some local guidance. We will definitely be using him again. Only draw back for ME is the opening time. I'd prefer something earlier but we can't have everything .

Cheers

Xander: Give Bill a call before your next trip and he'll give you his cell number so he can open early for you. Can't beat that sevice!
