Only got 6 perch that day.I don't think there is as many around since the walleye numbers have grown.I am out further then usual and find I get bigger fish on a small tipped spoon with smaller ones on the shiners [ which i also find smaller this year]

I've always used the same silver little cleo with a full cut in half minnow like forever as i'm technically old. deadstick 7 ft away.Set in my ways for sure as i have an arsenal of lures i never use.

beauty with two is if one falls off or fish takes half then your still got something on your hook. Also i can feel the bait on the hook when jigging and know its still there. Somedays the fish love the spoon, hate the dead stick and other days its the reverse.
