Looks like a vehicle went through on Chemong near the bridge. Massive opening in the ice with pylons around it now.
There was also a snowmobile that has burned to nothing and been left out there I guess to end up in the bottom of the lake when it thaws. No one came to get it off.
I was out there about 2 weeks ago and only measured 7" of ICE (it was about 11" with the snow on top) (north side of the bridge). Certainly not nearly enough for any vehicles.

I haven't been there - but it was on the news.
I know they had the polar dip....but this was only a few feet from shore. It looks like someone tried to park there car. Unless they do the polar dip in shallow water right beside the ramp?
