Hello Anglers,

Myself and 3 friends have an ice hut booked with Todd from Snowfari Adventures at the end of February. We're from Windsor in southern Ontario and just wanted to see if anyone had any tips / advice for our first time on Lake Nipissing. We are very excited to make the trip up and we're hoping to get on some perch and walleye and maybe some pike and wondered what the best choice of bait / tackle would be? Live bait? Jigs? Spoons? Or a combination of such?

Really enjoy reading what all of you have shared on your posts and looking forward to any replies.

Thanks in advance and keep on fishin'!!

I use 1/4 oz. Jigs with live shinners. Try different colors. Dark colours on sunny days, light ones in cloudy

take one of your dead minnows , cut in half on a small /medium spoon and jig off the bottom.
At least it gives you something to do as well might attract the fish. my 2 cents
also nice feeling when they hit the bait, make sure you have a rod holder to sit it in or you could lose it.I have Fish hit the spoon just sitting still in the holder.Cheers
