Hello all,
With the pike slowing down on my home pond, maybe you can help me. I’ve never caught a lake trout or rainbow through the ice and this lake has both stocked into it. Actually never caught either.
It’s a small lake and I am wondering if you could help impart some wisdom on me and share tackle tips (baits) and where you might setup first? Lake is in the Kawarthas.

That’s an FMZ 15 lake. I know the one. My buddy fishes 30 ft range and the shallows like 5-10fow on the opposite side from the access. I was quickly able to identify it, maybe should remove the picture? You should have luck there…. If the fish gods cooperate. All the best.

Not knowing anything about the lake or fish in it, my starting day would be within the area circled - you cover everything in a manageable area to find out what works

I would agree with Mykola about maybe removing the pic. since it is such a tiny lake. It wasn't hard to find that lake within a few minutes so if I can do it, most people with any real skills (and tools) will find that even faster. Good luck out there...would love to hear how you do but totally understand if you don't report.

Popular with locals, how was the slush? It was awful last January, north shore drop yeilded nothing for us, but I wasn't walking across the lake, hope you did well. Yeah take the whole lake pic down maybe.

With 5 min of research, this tiny lake can be found by who knows how many people. Any chance you can please take it down and just PM me? This lake is way too small to be put out there like this. I may be overreacting, but I've contributed to the stocking program for a few years for the area, and have seen what outing a small lake can do.
