outdoor card/fishing liscence

just to add a foot note to the card renewals.I just renewed my 3 year fishing and hunting.Too bad i didn't check first as its free 65 and older.

Let's say you are right now 64, and you tried renewing your license for next 3 years. The MNR does not have "safeguard" in place to ensure if you are a Canadian resident then you will not be able to pay a dime after you turn to 65 even if you want to pay:-)? Instead it just lets you renew for 3 years which covers the years when you are 65 and 66?:-) Now this is assuming you have had fishing license for previous years, and hence MNR for sure has the record indicating you are a Canadian resident, and as such knows you do not need no fishing license once you turn to 65....

I basically did that as i always bought a 3 year sport license. and the last one I purchase was when I was 64.
