Our team just came home today after another great trip with Shaun & Terra and crew at Bear Creek Cottages !! Thank you !!
…. We all know that catching fish is a bonus…. We all enjoyed the adventure!( planning, bantering, hoping, wishing, catching fish, losing fish !…. And most of all just being together to kick back and relax on the frozen waters!
-our team landed ( 15 walleye ( only1 keeper ), 1 pike, 4 perch …
Yesterday for lunch we brought out to our hut everything for back bacon on a bun with onions, oyster sauce, etc…!… so we started lunch !!!! WHAT!! No Back Bacon!… we forgot it in our cottage !!! I called Shaun, 15 min later Back Bacon was delivered!!!..awesome customer service!!)… thank you Shaun !!
…. We always had minnows, great cottage, great service & had a blast and looking forward to our next trip !!! Thank you Bear Creek Cottages!

I was also there recently, fished the weekend of jan 27-29. Cottages were clean and we had great service. They checked on us several times throughout the day topping up our minnow bucket and seeing how we were doing.

As for the fishing, our group of four landed 25 walleye, 19 perch, 2 pike and 2 herring. Only 3 keepers and about half of the walleye were on the small side. Nothing over the slot. Minnows on a hook and split shot worked for us.

Dinner! The pike tasted just as good as the walleye.

We had a decent weekend considering the temperature swing from Friday to Sunday. Landed 30 walleye, (2 slot, 1 over, the rest under slot size), 1 Cisco, 1 Ling, and a handful of small perch, 1 keeper. Half the walleye were caught between 9pm and 1am on minnows.
Great service from the staff, checked on us regularly lots of bait and friendly.
