We have to go pop-up for the rest of the season. Didn't want to chance the mild week coming. We have a pretty heavy hut, and we could have moved it, but the caldera around the hut was sketchy and about 6" of water on top of 6 good black. The rest of the lake solidified after the rain. SO, we had a 3'x3' hole to mark, and what I did was installed 3 driveway reflectors on 3' poles, around the whole with my drill. We will remove them when it freezes hard again, We are about 700 M from shore and there isn't really any trees to ravage (private Property). So I hope I have done the proper thing, here. Any other methods cheerfully accepted. (it marks our spot for the tent next week too, lol. I also want to thank my family members and friends we have met while ice fishing over the last couple years, for helping us with the 'launch ramp' access , Also the local snowmobilers who like just being helpful and friendly. The ice fishing community is made up of a MAJORITY of great people, not just dudes, but wives, girlfriends, and families with kids and Grandkids. 99% of the people we meet out on the ice, are looking for the same thing. That being, a few more fish, more opportunity to fish, and more time to socialize, or just have fun. Just hoping for a colder winter next year.
