Had a good afternoon on Cooks ,35 feet , back to basics ,used a pickerel rig, live minnows .got them at Gilford Marina , good size , the size keeps the small ones off the hooks , lost my morning fishing ,blew a bearing on the trailer ,check those axils ,GREASE ,GREASE !!!

I remember years ago when I ran a trailer, I put on a set of "Bearing buddies" --You should google it and consider implementing them.... Saves a lot of headaches.

thank you , have them on my cargo trailer , By the way ,I fished at Gimili Manitoba in Jan , 3 feet of ice ,no worries there , used the pickerel harness , caught Burbot ,whitefish and Pickerel . The town of Gimili really caters to the ice fishing , small town , explodes in the summer , mid week motel rates , drive out of the parking lot onto the ice , plow streets on the ice ,drive to where you want to be and leave your portable up for the time you are there , no worries about theft

I have friends that grew up in small towns and they tell me how when they were kids the communities around the water would welcome fisherman, boaters and snowmobiling. Today allot of the homeowners are people who did not grow up around these activities and the above activities takes away from their right to enjoy their lake... [/U][/B][B]
