I remember years ago when I ran a trailer, I put on a set of "Bearing buddies" --You should google it and consider implementing them.... Saves a lot of headaches.

thank you , have them on my cargo trailer ,
By the way ,I fished at Gimili Manitoba in Jan , 3 feet of ice ,no worries there , used the pickerel harness , caught Burbot ,whitefish and Pickerel .
The town of Gimili really caters to the ice fishing , small town , explodes in the summer , mid week motel rates , drive out of the parking lot onto the ice , plow streets on the ice ,drive to where you want to be and leave your portable up for the time you are there , no worries about theft

By the way, while you were fishing there, did you see Air Canada's Gimli Glider there?:-)

I have friends that grew up in small towns and they tell me how when they were kids the communities around the water would welcome fisherman, boaters and snowmobiling. Today allot of the homeowners are people who did not grow up around these activities and the above activities takes away from their right to enjoy their lake...

I lived in Manitoba for years and I have never been to Gimli but sounds familiar.

Tons of ice fishing up there - I used to ride the red river on my snowmobile like a highway.

Super fun if you can take the cold.

Amazing fishing up that way too.
