I can't say enough good things about the Striker Climate. With the weird weather we're getting nowadays of warm one minute and frigid the next, the removable linings are super versatile.

In case you are like me, and need Tall sizes, Strikemaster Pro Jacket is the only one I am aware of that carries them. Got it last saison, paired with Strikemaster Pro Bibs. Very happy with the purchase.

The recommendation is different if you are a walker or if you ride Sled or ATV.
Because I ride Snowmobile ........I have 2 pc suite ICERIDER by MUSTANG. I have it for years and it is the best, warmest , zipper all around the side of the legs, easy to put it on even when I have my big Sorel booths on. I was wearing this in -50C Windchill and I didn`t even feel any wind.
But this is NOT for Walking. A little stiff and NOT comfortable for long walking.
But on riding on a machine ( at any speed) I strongly recommend this.

I just picked up a Lucky John 2 piece with float jacket after years of wearing a full 1 pc floater suit. Super convenient to be able to strip off the top, especially since I overheat really easily.
But what have I learned having saved some $ on the suit (Lucky John is half $ v Striker)?
Nice soft inner linings and velcro closures = PITA. Like burdocks and a long-haired dog.
Outside pockets, loops etc for attaching and carrying gear are more valuable than I thought. Striker seems to have these features nailed, even including removable/washable soft cloth patches for drying/wiping hands.
Would like to have a waist cinch belt and not only rely on the shoulder straps. Also good for plier pouch or other gear to hang off.
The Lucky John has ample room to go over even the biggest boots and still keep somewhat of a seal. Having went to my knees in a 10" hole in -35 weather I can attest to that being a great feature to save from a ruined day!
Main zipper opening from bottom adds functional comfort when sitting zipped up.
When fitting, squat down, kneel down, move around a lot - they don't all fit the same in these positions, especially when layered up.
Still super happy to have made the switch, but given the longevity of such an investment I do regret not going for a brand with more functional features.

I have an Artic Armor suit. I really like it and it is very warm. Easy to move in and not stiff like some suits I have heard of. I actually bought a camo top as well for when I'm duck hunting on water. Really good in rain while hunting ducks or deer in late season. Now the camo does turn an off colour after a bit, but I just put a ghillies top over it.

I have been doing some research and found a US company has some pretty nice stuff for a reasonable price considering all the features. the Windrider boreas ice floating suit, looks no to shabby for $513 tax in and duties paid. i tried the hardwater bibs at bass pro and they are heavy duty for sure, but found them a bit bulky, Thanks for the replies! here is a link for the windrider.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRcvLqlR2po

I too have the striker hardwater...very warm with lots of pockets as mentioned...I use the removable towels on the bibs alot more than I thought I would. Paired with Nats boots that are very light and warm. This suit fits big. I probably could have bought a medium and would have been fine.

A couple of years ago I bought an Eskimo legend float jacket and bibs, I’m 6’3 #320lbs, bought a 3x or 4X I forget but I tried them on at a trade show and paid a show special price. Pockets everywhere! I fish out of a clam thermal and have an Eskimo outbreak 450 thermal hub I bought last year for the full entry door feature . I can’t say enough about the Eskimo products. Warm and comfortable with zipper openings on the sides of the coat for those long hikes when hole hopping or thin ice venturing. Fishing in the bibs in he heated clam or hub is great. Very comfortable. On line videos show complete floatation lying still in the water with heavy boots on. Looks like any brand name will do you. My advice look foe end of season deals, go large rather than small and get the most suit you can afford…. You really do get what you pay for.
