I fished Port Bolster Thursday, 27 fow nothing crazy but a good steady bite all day. Good average size with well over a dozen in the 12-13'' range. Buck shots and Jigging raps where the ticket for me. Heading out tmrw, I think Im going to start a little deeper and start moving north. We'll see how that works out.

How do you have the patience to fillet 43 fish. The most I have ever done at once was 23 crappie. I am slow at filleting fish but there is never any bones. Nice pictures of your catch.

Electric knife is the secret weapon CM.
Arnie
Thank you Arnie but I would just break it. LOL. Also conditions of parole state to stay away from large moving blades. LOL.

Last time I did about 80 perch, classic rapala fillet knife, no electric for me, took me hours, never again...The good news is, I don't need to ice fish this winter cause i still have fillets in the freezer...lol

Being a quiet man and one not lent toward bragging...
Working for 3 hrs on my new "stealthier" approach, you can understand how this guy never stood a chance. (You may have to use the enlargement feature of your view to get a better sense of the mass here!)
I guess you didn't need to loosen your drag to paly that one out!

For sure the drag was backed right off. After 3 hrs setting up this fish, I wasn't about to risk losing the only hookup by trying to horse it in. That's my story!
