A great day out ice fishing

Went out on wed march 1st , decided to not bring the hut due to the snowfall and went out light , fished at 21 fow and soon as i droped my megs a mark came and first whitefish iced in 2 minutes, jigged a bit and here comes a 2nd fish 20 minutes in I have my 2 , stayed a bit loner and got a 3erd which I released and called it a day , the fish were active , everyone else around me was very far out , I was just a bit off shore in 21 fow and the fishing was on!

Yes it looks like you had a great day!!
It reminds me of years ago we had this. Going out for whitefish........in 2 hours I got my limit of 2 fish and coming back home.

And I also found it is better to stay away from the crowd.

I love hearing about the shallow whitefish, sounds like spring has spring early. I will have to try even shallower this weekend up on my whitefish lake up north here.
