No shortage of lakers in Rosseau or Joe...you just need to find them and find the right presentaion...as far as size I feel average size is up this season

Well we had a late start today on the ice by 9 off by 1...iced 8 fish lost 6 and kept 2 about 2lbs each for dinner....not a bad few hours fishing...most hooked and lost by a chartreuse jig n minnow...one cought on a buckshot and another on orange jig...slow day....12in of ice where i was.
Happy fishing folks.

wow--That's a lot of fish for such a short time. I bet you marked that spot!

How deep were you fishing? Minnows or lures? thx

About 70fow...chartreuse jig and minnow bounced off of bottom was the winner.

That's about the depth we normally fish but usually try differnt depths in the 50-80 range. Some better fishermen than I am suggest trying different depths but I don't know why it makes much diff given that the water temp is the same everywhere. Maybe very close to shore where there are fallen trees and decaying leaves etc would be quite a different situation.

Heres a few we kept last week...the smallest was hooked through the eye so we kept that also.

As a matter of interest, have you been fishing Joe or Ross, if you don't mind me asking thx

maybe change your tactics.......seems like most are doing fine...just saying

Knuguy...I wasn't trying to snub you but all winter folks have been talking about shallow lakers, structure lakers and just different presentations

Of course there are slow days, but there are also always hot days

good luck
