Was just talking to Taj and found out he is still on 11" of ice. And that is all the way out to my whitie waypoint. So if anyone is wondering about how the ice is after this week, now ya know. Also he told me he still has a few huts available this weekend. Everyone stay safe,

Thank you for the update BWMB. That is good ice thickness for machines to go. Also there is more snow in the forecast so travelling with snowmobile will be good. Not good for walkers but Taj has Taxi service.

How does the taxi service work? Do they pull your sled and gears out there and then pick you up? And how much is it?

$25 round trip including hauling your sled (they pull a trailer behind for that). Taj is out visiting the huts throughout the day, so you could go back with him just about any time, but the last call to take you back will be once he starts taking the hut rental parties back in. So figure around 5:30pm. With all this snow (even without), its money well spent. Its about 3Km out to hut city. Not a fun walk. And you can park at this place for $10 as well.

Yes, pull your sled and gears out there and then pick you up at your desired time of day
And you are looking at this taxi service plus parking plus a big 'pile' of minnows for $40 only, which I consider very very reasonable
