It is great to go fishing on a nice sunny day in the middle of March. I got a nice scoop of minnows from Taj and I hit the lake with my snowmobile. The ice is very thick and the snow is in great condition for travelling. Cold nights every night ........the Lake will be good for fishing this month!

I got my limit of perch ! The jumbos were between 10-11 Inches big , but I prefer this size to eat . I don't like to eat the 13 inches big ones, let them go back ......they got a lot of eggs .

It is a long way out from Port Bolster if you don't have a machine. But if you talk to Taj ( Casey's ) I'm sure he can Taxi you out to any location you want to go. He will also bring you back.

The perch started to move in shallower water now. This big bucket full perch, I caught them in a little shallower water than the others last week.

Nice! Fantastic haul! Glad to hear perch grounds are solid. We went out for whities on Tuesday and had to battle a LOT of slush. I've been melting my ATV for two days now. When it's no longer a solid block of ice we'll be back to tackle the perch.

Thank you guys.

Port Bolster area can be a hit or miss. But I know the entire area from Georgina Island to Torah Island. Too many years of fishing that area. And Taj got perfect size of minnows for perch.

Perch fishing is always good in March.

I can't tell you exact depth..........but it looked like around 20 feet. It was far away from the big 32 feet deep feet basin that is located closer to Beaverton.
