I am hoping to do a final trip for the season on Wednesday. It is 2+ hours for me to drive so if anyone can provide an update on conditions today I would appreciate it. I was at PB last week and there was plenty of ice...just not sure what the shorelines will be like.
Thanks!

I was out of the ninth in Innisfil today drilling 13 inches of ice 7 black/6 white. Innisfil is on the West side.

Shorelines were good.

I didn't get out today, but talked to Taj and we are going on Friday, the ice is good and he is still doing a taxi service. Hoping things will hold and we can get out on the weekend too. Thanks for all of your help this is an amazing forum with so much good advice. I will post a report tomorrow night...unless we are skunked and then I will just hide my head in shame until next season!

was out from Gilford this morning, beauty weather !! Ice is solid at 12 - 14 inches, old holes had lots of ice on them as well. Very slippy walking though !!!!!! The shoreline is solid, should last quite a while unless it rains more. Funny thing, Fridays are usually busy, but I only saw maybe 10 guys as far as the eye could see today ....go figure...BTW ..fishing for me wasn't that great today, but better than working ROOK

Out yesterday...a beautiful day, no heater, very little wind and we were on about 18 inches of clear ice.
Taj is amazing...he took us out to the first group of huts about 5-10 min out...asked how the fishing was and they said they were small. So he kept going another 10-15 minutes and took us to another spot. My daughter outfished me as she usually does...the best was a fat 13 inch perch. I spoke with some anglers from Michigan and they asked "where is everyone?"...they couldn't believe how few anglers were out, with the ice being so solid.

Now they can fish between the cracks no need for their augers lol, hopefully they all made made it back to shore.

You coming out ? Last few trips have had some stellar fish from 2 different locations. Going to text ya a few pics now sending that horrible video of the winds destruction lol.

The ferry path is pretty wide definitely some potential for some wave damage.

Hopefully this wind didn't break up the lake .

Crossing fingers, too! Friends are out on Sunday but due to family stuff (and high winds) I am waiting to see if Monday or Tuesday will be okay.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Seen that video before. So many people fishing on sketchy ice. No floater suits to be seen. But lots of garbage on the shoreline to see. Play safe and pick up your garbage and stop throwing cigarettes in the lakes. OMG.

Greetings, back out from Gilford this morning, the first hour I was the only one as far as the eye could see...and yes, it was really windy !!!! Walking very slick until about noon, then surface got slushy, by 2.30 there was a good 1-2 inches of wet slush on the surface. Shoreline is still holding quite well, it was a bit wet this aft when I came off. Fishing was better today ...got a decent meal of 11 inchers ROOK
