Disgusting, the fact they were hiding Bass shows it was purposeful.

Who is they?...Who is they bringing in invasive species?...Who is they stealing fish? Is they the two names mentioned in the article? Or are you referring to a larger demographic of people? Population characteristics are a great way to do research on who is doing what, and where are they doing it. Do you have any more statistics or information on "THEY" or again ...Are you just referring to the two people in the article? Some of my best friends names sound just like those names in the article. MY FRIENDS would not do that. I hope my friends are not included in the "THEY"......

My Asian friends are amazing anglers who always follow the law. Let’s not perpetuate stereo types here.

I fish the park in Keswick a bunch in the spring. Whole park is loaded with amazing Asian folks who are always kind. At least three times a day MNR and cops check folks. Only once have I ever seen someone fined and it was a Caucasian person. Yet daily people drive by honking and screaming racist remarks. I even had it out with a local who verbally attacked just about every Asian person in the park.

Let’s help spread knowledge not stereo types.

Glad to hear there are people speaking out against any possible racism towards a certain group of people. Poachers are poachers and come in all forms and colours, etc. I found Disco's comment and experience interesting as I saw that twice myself...i.e., Caucasians were the ones being ticketed and fined for breaking fishing regs. even though there were plenty of non-Caucasians fishing nearby...yet a certain group of people are blamed.

They got 2 guys that were clearly poachers and that's a good thing

from my experience, every culture has it's poachers and it's great ambassadors for sport fishing

Thank you very much for the reply. It is really too bad that the MNR can't catch more people that do not follow the regulations. It is a big province, and not enough Conservation Officers to cover it. But the CO's I am in contact with are doing a great job.

That's one expensive fishing outing!!Good they got caught! Hope other poachers read this and will act as somewhat of a deterrent.
