Hold on, hold on guys. It was not supposed to be another crappie fishing post and discussion as we went to fish for pike ...
Joking aside, it was an interesting and fun trip.
I told RM that I usually do not like to fish for multiple species during an outing as every fish requires it's own set-up for baits and tackle and it's own approach for location , timing etc.
But sometimes it's fun to try to catch various types of fish in the same spot so we did exactly that.
I am thinking of making a few trips this year just for crappies.

Well done gentleman. Those are some nice pike and crappie. I got my pb crappie last year on Balsam 15.5” . I hope to be out for pike on the Thursday and Friday before walleye opener. I can’t wait to get the boat out and be on the water again. Good luck out there and be safe

Repeated my balsam fishing yesterday but with another buddy . Caught lots of pike and oos bass but only one crappie Met RM on the water and shared our experiences Water did not warm up in a week since last time and the cold weather has moved fish a bit deeper so we had to get our jerks deeper to the bottom

That's going to taste good. I have not been out fishing again yet. But I just spent 2 hours making some pasta sauce, so that's what we will be having now for dinner. Enjoy your fish dinner, keep the pictures coming. That's a great pike on a beautiful day. Stay safe.
