I was trying to check the regs in zone 17 to see the exact inches for the slot size again. But I noticed that it only applies to conservation and not sport license. Am I missing it somewhere or I just crawled out of a rock.

Would love to know if there is a good reason why Balsam and Mitchell slots sizes are different than the other Kawartha Lakes? As if the slots sizes are not hard enough to keep straight now.

Cheers,
The walleye population in Balsam has been in decline for years and the MNR wants as many possible breeder fish to survive and spawn. In a nutshell

I wish the MNR would just drop the limit on Walleye to "TWO." Go fishing, catch two walleye. Bring the fish home, filet them, cook them, and eat them. Repeat this process next time you go fishing. If the MNR really wants to help the walleye population, then they should drop the limit. Sportsman "2" and conservation stays at "1"

This is what they did on Nippising. Just curious do you guys think this helped? IMO it did. I don't even target walleye anymore on Chemong. I'd rather get a good feed of crappie and save the walleye to rebuild. But I have to admit it is nice catching that incidental beauty.
