Smashed some lakers this morning, fished 8:30-10:30 solo, I went 2 for 7, all the fish felt of a similar calibre. Kept a 24” and a 25”. Fished above the smelt like last time, even the smelt were hungry today and a couple came up to grab my bio-minnow, which the lakers also enjoyed. Finally enjoying some reasonable temperatures. No bugs on the lake it was amazing. One other boat out there, but I hear them cursing they couldn’t find any fish, I let them be as they would find some eventually I’m sure, the day was young.

I really enjoy the meat from this lake, nice colour and cooks up nice and juicy.

Lucky you had some beautiful cooler weather to get out and catch a few fish.
