Has anyone ever caught a crappie in Cook's Bay in the summer? I know people catch them in the spring in the Holland river, but I have tried everywhere and many hours in Cooks and never catch a crappie. How do they just disappear? Or do they stay in the Holland river all summer? I catch perch bluegills and sunfish but No Crappie at all.

I’ve caught a handful over the last two years in cooks bay. The last one was just outside Krates Marina in the bay. I’ve also caught a few on the Innisfil side.

So they are definitely in the bay. Likely hanging out in the mouth of the rivers.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO CRAP! Now the crappies are going to get fried LOL but really no use targeting them in Simcoe after spring, the schools break up there is so much water they just sparse out into the abyss, you can get one here and there but not in large numbers. GL in the hunt
