This was a memorable trip. Fishing was great though we weren't catching our target fish. The campsite was beautiful and the full moon at night was a bonus. Bugs forced us to wear bug jackets through most of the trip and we got to see thousands of fish feasting on bugs in the evening. Next morning, we were greeted by two beavers swimming close to our campsite. Ash from the forest fires were settling on these northern lakes. Hope you like the video.

Another good video...thank you.

Next time you target pike, go look for some weed beds and fish the edges......you will find them, especially if you can find cabbage Leaf weeds. When you fish the rocky areas you will get lots of smallmouth bass....good luck my friend.

Great video, just beautiful up there. Hopefully the forest fire will die down everywhere. Glad you survived the bugs. I got lucky fishing the last two days, it was wet and windy enough that the mosquitoes could not fly.

Thanks crappeeeman. I'm glad you had wind backing you up against the mosquitoes. Looking forward to bass opener in Zone 17 this weekend.

Haven't seen a pup style tent since the 80's.
Judging by the size of those bass, you'll need a bigger net.

Enjoyed your video....except for the bugs. Lol

Thanks Limacharley. LOL yes, definitely need a bigger net next time. There were no small bass in that lake. I packed super light to accommodate a rough portage, so took my tiny trout net
