Bowmanville creek ramp update

Dropped by yesterday and was pleasantly surprized to see lots of work going on. The parking lot has huge mounds of sand, gravel and bigger rock. The paved ramp is all dug out and looks like it is being widened. Looks like they might be putting in a double ramp.
After years of delay it looks like they are putting in something that will last a very long time.
Sign says the parking lot is closed for 2 weeks, but I doubt the ramp and dock will be done by then.
Saw 2 guys in waders fishing near the ramp. Both caught salmon while I was there for 20 minutes. A few fish showed themselves, one jumping trying to get rid of a lamprey.

Years ago we launched there frequently. How long has it been closed?

Its been closed for 2 or 3 years. Will go see how they are making out today.
