Welcome aboard Ozzy. There are some big muskie on Nipissing, but I have heard not many people target them and usually pick them up while fishing for pike. I would try trolling any large perch or walleye cranks especially when it's windy.

have got a few over the years personally its a little backbreaking and slow to straight up musky fish the west arm if you scale your baits down a little you will have some fun with the pike and may run across a musky. just my opinion hope you have some good luck

Hi Ozzy.
For pike-find deep weeds, 8-10 feet, throw bucktails, spinner baits, shallow cranks
Muskie-find underwater humps, islands - similar baits but throw as BIG as your rod can handle
For both species, wind is your best friend - fish the waves and windy points

Caught this beauty last weekend - out of the water for a minute then released

Good luck

Very nice fish !! Thanks for the tips Cranman..
Does there seem to be a "stand out" colour pattern working better then others ??

On Nipissing, I like flashy given water clarity....white, silver blades or anything that looks like a walleye or perch
