Happy New Year you lot! Going to an ice bungalow January 1st-3rd. They operate from the South Bay and I suppose not too far out. What to expect in terms of fishing there?

. You will probably be out 2-3 km and generally it is not a bad place to get you some walleye. There also is some decent perch to be had If there is not enough ice under your bungalow they might not drill holes inside due to the risk of flooding around it. You might have to fish outside holes. Good luck and let us know how you made out\

May be a good idea to check with operator.... bungalos need more than 10in to avoid flooding. 2 key things that can effect your stay..... Ice may not be thick enough for bungalos to be out on the walleye grounds , and if they are on the walleye grounds it may not be thick enough to drill inside the hut. both of these things have happened to me. and both times were were NOT informed of this until we arrived!
