Our go to is a simple line with line having a medium split shot 8 inches above your hook with a minnow on a dead stick. Works great for walleye and will also work for ling over night. Good Luck.

Leaving your bait over night is Even better for mud puppies ? But in All seriousness. Buckshot spoons with a minnow head is always my go to to jig.

Big chub dead or alive on bottom on a dead stick for Ling from my experience. Put that hole outside and forget about it for a while.

gold rattle, 8" of lead, #6 treble. I prefer chubs but shinners work well also.
