Fished for 5 hours on a lake in Haliburton area. Ice is solid over 8 inch (perhaps close to 10 inch).

Caught some whitefish and lakers

Nice fish! Should have stayed after dark, I hear the Burbot were on fire. Nice day out there today. The saw you out there today, I was there with my son and couldn’t catch one. Forgot my graph and my lures at home. Those lakers will be ready for harvest next year.

Yes, and nice to see you again on the lake. Also I heard Mike33 was staying late on the lake for the evening burbot:-) Cheers

Way to go, too bad about the slot size, but you have a feed of whitefish anyway. Curious to hear about the ling bite.

Very nice James! We had a tougher go with them yesterday in the morning. Things seemed to pick up for us in the afternoon and the burbot were active and on the feed after sundown. Will post a report with photos shortly.
