I was just talking about 16 inch crappie on another post. Best so far is a few 11's, 12's, and 13ish earlier. Maybe this is your year to pass 17 inches on the crappie scale. Just don't beat my 17.5 inch, or I will have to retire from fishing, or start from scratch. Good luck with the procedure, and get back to what you do best very soon. By the way, that is a great monster crappie. Keep that spot quiet, a few more in that area to photograph. I am done with crappie for another week or so, until they are done spawning. We really took a hit here with dozens of boats, for dozens of days fishing crappie this spring. They kept everything, small, medium, large, and killed a lot of bluegill and bass with bad releases. Great post Dale with some beauty fish, keep it up.

Hello again my friends. Had the opportunity to get out on the water quite often this spring as I awaited hernia surgery, yuk!! Anyhow this damn spring weather could not keep me down and I got out on the waters of Severn Sound as often as I could, until yesterday when my surgery was done. Hopefully able to get back out with a little assistance from a friend or two. A nice surprise so far was a remarkable 16 inch Crappie and also a decent carp while trolling for walleye, quite the battle I must add. An abundant of pike so far, while the Crappies and Walleye are just heating up. Here are several pics of the start to my season. Have a Crappie Day!
What kind of assistance you need Dale. I will be in Waubaushene all weekend if you need a hand or hitch a ride?

Thanks for the offer Arnie.Weather looks nasty unfortunately for the long weekend. I will work on healing up until it changes back to a more comfortable forecast.
