North wind very chilly, went down to 3 degrees overnight. Ran into 2 MNR Conservation Officers at the launch. These guys have a very tough job, and deserve a lot of respect. Enforcing the regulations is a thankless career many times. These guys are here to help everyone. They are the good guys, let's try and remember that.

Wasn't going to fish tonight because of the lightning on the way. Looks like it's going to pass over quick. Hopefully fishing Balsam by midnight. There won't be anybody else out there. That's awesome.
