Well i got out in the canoe today around 12:30pm and fished to 3PM landed a couple nice fish and lost 3 i started fishing the shore line with no luck so i knew i had my work cut out for me started to move to deeper water fishing with the Lake Troll added 3/8oz to my troll and 70 feet of line out trolling at 1.7 to 2 mph. It was the ticket today they were deeper !!!!
2 questions for you Kurt- when you switch up tactics to get down deeper, what depth are you typically running your gang troll or aiming to get down to? Also, with your in-line weight, how far up are you running it from your presentation?
Beautiful couple brook trout, always look forward to your reports!

I add my weight right at the front of the troll i always start with 3/8 oz and will work my way up to 1oz in the summer .Another thing i also always do is start from 60 feet of line on my line counter and will increase 10 feet at a time up to 90 feet max i never let out more then 90 feet. the rudder is there to prevent the line from twisting on this day i was aiming for 10 to 12 feet down . Most won't believe me but i run 15 lb mono on the main line and on my lead with the 2 hooks.
