those are some big walleye. sounds like you still got lots of fish. Yeah you don't want that spot to get out or you won't have it any more.
Thank you sir, everything seems to grow bigger on Balsam. The walleye, crappie, muskie etc. It seems greedy of me not to share that area with anyone. Many people have asked about it. It is very conflicting knowing if that is the best thing to do. Keep it hidden, or share it with a friend.

Keep it to yourself. No conflict in my mind.
Great report and well done
Thank you for the advice Drew. Have thought about it many times over the years. I guess it is just better to keep it in the family, like an old recipe. Or a lucky vintage lure passed down to the next fisherman in the family.

This is what it looks like if I stay until sunrise. Sorry about zapping out the shoreline. Seeing the sunrise is beautiful, but sad. The sun tells me it's time to go home, the adventure is over.

Looks like a beautiful spot with great fishing. Glad you’ve been having some successful trips. And there’s nothing wrong with keeping some fishing secrets, keep that spot under your hat or it’ll be ruined one day!

Thanks Jay, I'm sure all you guys are right. Once you let a secret out, they tell two friends, and they tell two friends, and they tell two friends............................................ And then you have too many new friends you don't even know fishing in your spot.

Two things I can’t stand is fishing in the rain and bugs. That takes persistence.
Agreed on the bugs, but we do need them to keep the fish healthy. Mosquitos I could live without, but the dragonflies would die without the Mosquitos. It's a no win situation on the flying blood suckers.

Very accurate image, my last trip I got decimated by the mosquitoes like never before, must’ve gotten bit over a 100 times with huge marks left behind and so itchy!!!

Yes, that does not sound good. My number one choice for keeping bugs away is the liquid garlic in a glass jar. I put some on a paper towel and wipe it on my face and neck. I wear gloves, a jacket and a tuque fishing all season long. Also mosquitos don't like cinnamon, so cinnamon gum is always in my pocket. Have not had a mosquito bite in two years. I do use bug spray when the mosquitos show up unexpected sometimes. But don't ever get bug repellent on bait, or you can wave goodbye to the fish as they swim away from where ever you cast.

Very nice Jamie!! It's nice when we have a go to spot that continually produces.I certainly keep these spots silent, for good reason. Have a great season. You keep getting them at night and I will work on the days lol.

Agree with others, don't share! And this is coming from a guy who has spent far more time than I should trying to figure out where Crappeeeman fishes - it's waaaaay more fun to try to piece together the info you do share than just being told the spot. I doubt I'll ever figure out the spots, I have some ideas, but the info you share points to finding other spots with similar characteristics and giving them a go which in itself is fun!
but, yeah, if you really have the urge to share and can't stop yourself, my DMs are open!

Thanks for the comment, I just love this Fishing Forum. So nice to see all the pictures and read the stories. Just wish there was more stuff from others. There are so many members, we should have new fishing tales everyday.

Thanks Dale, glad you are back chasing and catching the fish. Between the two of us, we have the 24 cycle of the day almost covered. You start around sunrise, or after breakfast. I start after dinner, or around sunset.
