This trip to Georgian Bay was all about feeding big fish what they’re actually hunting ... cisco and smelt type presentations. In this video, I target trophy walleye, pike, and lake trout using oversized baits designed to mimic ciscos' and long slender plastics meant to imitate smelt. You’ll see how I break down locations, use sonar to pinpoint fish, trigger bites, and ultimately secure multiple trophy sized fish. Stick around for some big fish action as well as some tips to get you started when targeting these spring time giants. If you like the video dont forget to like/subscribe and if you have any fishing related questions feel free to drop them in the video comment section and i’ll do my best to provide you with an answer! Tight lines!

Video sure is the best way to document a monster fish. I take hundreds of photos of my catches, but a still picture of just the big fish, can't show the excitement of the moment. Guess I will just have to hire a cinematographer, and make a few short films of my night fishing adventures. Those are some true giants you caught again. What a difference in the colour of the walleye in the deeper and colder water of Georgian Bay, than my shallow Kawartha walleye. More gold than black in the Kawarthas, more black than gold in Georgian Bay. The other fish as well, much darker. Too bad about the spoon, the pike almost let you have it back. Watch your fingers reaching in that net with your hand, especially in the dark. Don't want to see a hook removal video from you. I won't be on the water for a bit, caught a bad cold, about the time I finished my last post. No mosquito bites but caught a bug. LOL. Good luck if you are out on the water this weekend.

Love your videos. The hours and days you must put in to fine tune your techniques are really paying off. Keep them coming.

Videos are definitely the way to go! Its definitely a hassle but so worth it when you get to capture some of your best fish on film and rewatch it or show your buddies whenever you want! And yes the colour on walleye can vary so much its amazing! Yea that pike in the night time actually lunged at my hand from inside the net and chomped down on my hand, but thats not shown in the video, he got me good and it almost felt intentional . Also hope you feel better, those fish are waiting for you! And yes I was out on the water this weekend and had a bunch of issues with the boat, one of the trolling batteries is dead so will need to upgrade to the lithiums finally, and my throttle got stuck going full speed on the water, very dangerous, had to pull the kill switch so I wouldnt end up on the land in my boat In this picture of the control box you can see the culprit.

Thanks buddy, that time on the water is definitely critical, constantly moving and searching is also very important. Theres only so much you can learn from just reading books, articles, and watching videos, time on the water is where all the pieces come together. Oh… and dont forget about confidence, you need to know you’ll get bit and that you’ll find the fish, and have absolute confidence in your cadence, cannot doubt yourself. This last one is most crucial in my opinion.

So you have a screw loose, well that explains a lot. LOL. Glad you found the problem. Didn't want to spread my germs to family or friends, be back soon enough.

got to wonder how that screw got to the other side of the motor. at least it an easy fix. good thing you had the presence of mind to use the kill switch.

Ahhahaha, yea the screw was preventing the shifter cables from functioning, kept getting jammed. Luckily an easy fix!

Yea this was the second time its gotten stuck, shouldve opened the control box up after the first time but thought it mightve been a one off mechanical issue.Glad it was just a loose screw though, such a dumb little thing! Yes its hard to stay calm in a situation like that for sure, had to do a quick loop around to get towards open water and do some quick thinking before hitting that kill switch, definitely a scary situation.
