Tuesday night slight west wind, warm and lots of bugs. A few small and a few medium size walleye. Another big muskie and a small mouth bass. Sorry no fish pictures, too hard to take photos in the dark handling fish in the boat. Very dark out until the clouds left.

Clouds rolled in and out, just a beautiful night. Nothing like watching the moon reflection gliding along the surface of the water. It's not as bright as it looks. When fishing at night it's dark, and a bit dangerous. Life jackets are always on. I bring 2 flashlights and 2 headlamps nothing is ever left to chance. There is always a possibility of something going wrong. A log or some other debris floating in the water. Rocks are always a hazard, and can damage your boat or motor. Losing your balance is easy to do when you can't see well, with little or no light etc. Stay safe.

Wednesday night was a bit windy with some big gusts, so fished from my friends dock. No bugs with the wind and cooled down to 13 degrees. Fish were active again with quite a few walleye caught. No crappie or muskie last night, just rock bass and walleye. Kept one big walleye, everything else swam away for another day/night.

Tuesday night was fishing a bit deeper than usual in 10 to 12 FOW. This is what caught all the walleye and the muskie. It's about 3.5 inches long and the blue looks more like black in the water. It runs about 3.5 feet under the surface with a slow retrieve. I usually am fishing 18 to 24 inches under the surface in 4 to 6 to 8 FOW.

This was the sky Wednesday night. Crank baits and Jokers on pink quarter ounce jigheads caught all the fish. Fished from 8pm until around 5am both nights. Saw a huge carp swimming around when I was packing up. Thought it was another muskie until it turned, then I could see it's profile. That's it until next time. Stay safe.

Weather is starting to cooperate.
Yes, the fishing will be good this weekend and into the week. Too bad I used up all my luck for this week. Can't get back out there for a bit. Good luck, should be fun on the water.
