My son and I got out on Lake Ontario on Canada Day. Beautiful weather and calm winds promised a comfortable outing. We were launched at first light and setup at6:00 am. It took an hour before we hooked and landed a couple three pound chinook on spoons. Over the next couple hours we hooked two more chinook …..one a 13 pound and one 15. Beautiful chrome fish on spoons as well…. Green silver and blue silver NK mags. The next couple hours slowed until we switched two rods to flasher/fly and got both to fire. One reel jammed and we broke off a dipsey/ flasher /fly. Ouch$$$!!!!!On the other we landed a 17 pound chinook.Great fight .
As we trolled back to port we picked up another 17.5 pound chinook on flasher /fly. Here’s a couple pics.
