That’s awesome. My 8 year old soon to be 9 year old got in trouble at camp at the fish hatchery today for putting minnows in his pockets…. The fun is only beginning for you haha. Enjoy it.
He was just trying to bring you home a snack, cause you haven’t been out lately…. Thoughtful I’d call it

Nice report Drew....great when you start them young. Mine are all grown up and one of my girls has the fishing bug and the other does not. I know take on e kid in our park every year and take them fishing for the season when it works for both of us.
This year took him in the park fish derby and I hooked him up with a 6 ls pike and he won $210 for the largest pike caught I love living vicariously through them. Their adrenalin rush and smile is what I live for.

I recall an old saying about taking a kid fishing by the time they’re 3 and they’ll always return to it. That’s true from my experience. Also from my experience when they dump out the worms and play with them for a while the worms will never be the same later and won’t last as long in the fridge.

Hahaha good to know.
One thing I’ve learned is if you have extra worms and you need to put them in the fridge you either shoulda stayed out longer or you didn’t catch much.
